TECHNOLOGIES...

SHORT VERSION - We use industry leading products, predominantly Microsoft and Adobe, for our web development projects. Our servers are Microsoft servers and our databases are Microsoft SQL databases. All of our web applications integrate with various open standards software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Access. Our web products are written using HTML, XML, Java Script, SQL, and ColdFusion (more on ColdFusion). We host all web sites that we develop, providing our customers with one source for design, development, and hosting.

LONG VERSION - We have made some key decisions and investments over the years and have felt very fortunate as to how these have "panned" out to benefit our company and our customers...In 1998, we made the decision to use ColdFusion as our web development platform of choice. At the time, this software product was provided by a small private company (Allaire). During our decision process, we extensively compared ColdFusion against Microsoft's ASP environment and found that we could deliver the same applications in a shorter time and with simpler code by using ColdFusion (we are still very pro-Microsoft).

Allaire was purchased by Macromedia (the makers of Flash) and this merger uniquely positioned ColdFusion developers to make rapid applications that fully integrated Flash (ships with over 90% of the world's web browsers) and ColdFusion web pages. Most people have seen Flash in action as fancy web site introductions. On a larger scale, to be able to securely pass database driven information to the Flash player, and perform many other tightly integrated and secure tasks, presented another very exciting opportunity for ColdFusion developers.

The Stars Align - In December of 2005, Adobe Systems acquired Macromedia in an all stock deal valued at approximately 3.4 billion dollars. This was a great occurrence for ColdFusion developers and their customers, as so many leading industry products were now under one roof. A sample of Adobe products includes ColdFusion, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, PhotoShop, and portable document format (PDF).

In the fall of 2006, Chamber Works substantially upgraded its technology infrastructure (the most comprehensive upgrade for the company in 10 years). All servers, server software, mail, firewall system, and web technologies were upgraded or replaced with new hardware and software. Part of the upgrade process was to upgrade to the latest version of ColdFusion to benefit our ColdFusion customers.

Now with less time required to implement, allowing more time to create, Chamber Works is positioning itself to rapidly and affordably provide powerful Internet applications to small businesses. Chamber Works customers now have access to more structured reports within their administrative web sites, on-the-fly conversion of web site data to PDF, and dynamic generation of truly printable documents directly from a web browser (mailing labels and other documents that change when data changes).

Key Partnerships - Establishing solid partnerships has been a cornerstone of our company's success. Via our array of longstanding partner relationships, Chamber Works continues to affordably offer complete solutions and a variety of best-in-class services to our clients...Email Marketing, SPAM services and remote email backup, Web Site Statistics, Web based email access, world class web hosting, and more.
